Ants Nest and Ants Hill Bush Homes
COVID Hygiene Protocols

On arrival we will no longer be shaking hands, sharing hugs or other forms of physical contact with guests. All guests will have their temperature checked at check-in.
We still love you, just from a little distance!

Sanitizers (minimum of 70% alcohol content) and disinfectant stations will be provided at all entrances/exits and common areas, as well as back of house, stables, and office. Each room will be provided with its own hand sanitizer.

Face masks are compulsory for guests to wear in all common areas, as well as during certain activities. All staff are equipped with the necessary protective gear. Guests are advised to bring their own face masks; however, masks will be for sale if required.

Guests will be required to complete a short questionnaire during check-in. Temperature checks will be done daily in a non-invasive manner and recorded and monitored in accordance with government approved protocols.

Thorough deep-cleaning and sanitizing of all communal areas, game drive vehicles and all activity equipment will be done throughout the day.

All Ants Nest and Ants Hill staff will be screened daily before the start of each shift. Temperature checks
and sanitizing protocols will be strictly followed. Rest assured, all back-of-house operations at Ants follow a stringent list of health and safety checks. This includes deliveries, food preparation and service, laundry, and housekeeping operations.

During horse-riding activities, “horse” social distancing will be adhered to. All tack and equipment (including helmets) will be properly sanitized after each use. Sanitizing stations will be at each mountblock and in the stables. This is a standard policy we will be adhering to for all equipment used for any activities offered onsite, including cycling, archery, game drives, fishing, etc.

Social distancing must be adhered to.

As from 1 December 2021, all staff at Ants Nest and Ants Hill will be fully vaccinated. Communal, hosted meals will be offered to all guests that feel comfortable doing so but private dining can still be arranged. As well as private guiding, which is at an extra cost.
